Willian wants to fight for his place at Chelsea after he 'rejected a £230,000-a-week offer from Chinese side Shanghai Shenua'.
The Brazilian winger endured a tough season for the Blues last term netting just three goals - but he is not keen to join Eden Hazard in
leaving the club this summer, according to UOL Esporte.
At the age of 30, Willian only has one year left to run on his current
contract and could find himself inundated with lucrative offers from afar this
summer.
Chelsea typically only offer short-term contracts to players over the
age of 30 but after going on to qualify for the Champions League and go on to
lift the UEFA Europa League, Willian wants to say.
Shanghai Shenua's offer was reported to have been far more enticing than
just the weekly salary.
According to sport witness the Chinese club offered to
'rent a paid-for flat, as well as two cars with drivers and a fee to be spent
on plane tickets' should desire.
While his future remains a source of constant debate, Willian is currently locked in with the Brazil national team as they try to lift the Copa America on home soil.
Tite's squad are currently top of Group A, level on points with Peru who
they face in a decider on Saturday in Sao Paulo.
He is having to remain patient having made a six-minute cameo in the
opening 3-0 win over Bolivia before remaining on the bench for the more recent
stalemate with Venezuela.
